Ronen Barkan is a water and wastewater professional with more than 16 years of experience driving business development, commercialization, and strategic growth for innovative water and wastewater treatment companies.

Ronen currently works with REGEN AEC, an engineering firm specializing in water and wastewater treatment. At REGEN AEC, he focuses on helping clients navigate complex treatment challenges by combining innovative engineering approaches with practical, cost-effective solutions.

REGEN AEC’s philosophy is to think outside the box, understand what clients truly need, and develop solutions that work within real-world technical, regulatory, and financial constraints. Prior to joining REGEN AEC, Ronen spent 14 years with Emefcy and Fluence, where he was involved in bringing MABR technology from commercialization through market expansion and business development in North America. His experience includes developing new markets, building strategic partnerships, supporting project development, and working with clients and stakeholders to introduce innovative wastewater treatment technologies.

Earlier in his career, Ronen represented leading global wastewater equipment manufacturers, including Huber Technology, Xylem, Smith & Loveless, and Polychem Systems. His experience spans technology development, business strategy, sales, project development, and the practical application of advanced wastewater treatment solutions.
