Landy Araiza
Associate Engineer

A traveler at heart, Landy was born in Mexico and has lived and worked in nearly half of the U.S., with time spent abroad in Australia and New Zealand learning about green engineering practices. Currently an EIT pursuing her PE, she is her ancestors’ wildest dreams—an immigrant, first-generation college graduate, and woman in engineering. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2021.

Landy brings a boots-on-the-ground approach to her work and isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty. She has partnered with federal agencies including the U.S. Forest Service and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to protect habitats, apply sustainable green practices, and develop innovative solutions. She has also volunteered supporting FEMA during hurricane relief efforts.

Outside the office, Landy enjoys discovering new and interesting spots around Idaho, a good coffee, trinket exchanges, hiking, and spending time with her husband and toddler. When facing challenges, Landy lives by one mantra: “when you succeed, not if you succeed.”
